The River Cities Chapter of STAR Touring and Riding is dedicated to fun and safe recreational motorcycling. STAR Touring was formed around the STAR brand of Yamaha motorcycles, but membership is open to any brand, any year.
STAR Touring and Riding and Chapter 482 invites you to join us and have fun in a friendly and family oriented environment. Our membership is from all over Central Illinois, including the Peoria, Pekin and Bloomington metro areas, but not limited to those areas.
We plan rides on a regular basis throughout the year, weather permitting.
The group at our Oct 10th Honorary Charter signing, meet and greet and membership drive at Cupi's Motor Mall in Pekin.

UPDATE
April 29: Chapter maintenance day at Tim and Carla's house. Several people attended and a delicious lunch was consumed with cake to celebrate the birthday of our President. Rain in the forcast meant that several including myself did not ride, but our intrepid Pres. did ride, and got a lot of work done.
April 21 and 22nd: Chapter meeting at CIRT in E. Peoria, picture above has members sanding and painting the sections of the outdoor riding ring, with two coats of red paint and some of the paint even got on the gates! :) Then on Sunday 10 bikes rode to Walnut Point State Park near Oakland, IL, about a 140 mile one-way ride, for a picnic lunch. Thanks to everyone for contributing to a tasty lunch on a cold day. After lunch the sun finally came out as clouds parted and the ride home was a bit warmer.
March 18th: Chapter 482 Monthly Meeting and ride. We left from Goodfield at 9:40 (thanks for waiting for Jan and I!) and met up with more people in Bloomington and had a great group arriving in Leroy. Very large turnout, and after Tim and Carla led us to Moraine View State park for some curvey roads and some nice scenery. The food at Jack's was also quite good, and the service is also very quick.
March 10th: Chapter 482 attended and supported the Hot Winter Nights events for both Thunder Powersports in Washington, and Cupi's in Pekin. Thunder Powersports event was during the day, and Cupi's was in the evening, so that worked out well. Chapter 110 from Litchfield also came and added to the fun!
Feb 18, 2012: Chapter meeting at Cupi's in Pekin. Good attendance, new guests, and lots of ideas for this years rides. check the Calendar for updated events and rides. Nice lunch after the meeting.
Jan 14, 2012: Chapter Holiday Party and January Meeting. We had a gift exchange, and lots of great food, and some questionable singing (escpecially by myself)!
Dec 18,2011: Chapter meeting at Jack's Restaurant in Leroy, IL. Our big Fall Colors Ride was set for Oct 6, 2012! STAR Chapter Charter was signed. Officers were elected, see below for all officers. Other chapter business was conducted, a nice meal consumed, everyone had a good time.

To pursue, promote and protect the interests of motorcyclists; to develop better and more enthusiastic relations between the general public, the media and the operators and riders ofmotorcycles; to encourage rider participation in events; to promote motorcycle safety and camaraderie among members; to promote organized events; and in general, peform them in a lawful manner.
